DEATHS

Hans Abraham (sic)

Hans Abraham (sic) was born in Alta, Sweden the 11th of Nov., 1877 and died in Denver, Colorado, April 23rd, 1921 at the age of 43 years, 5 months nad (sic) 12 days.

He came to America with his parents at the age of 11 years and they settled near Wayne, and here he grew to manhood. He was gloriously saved at the age of 14 and joined the 26th day of Nov. 1893 and was a faithful member until death. He was an example of how God can save and keep. He never drank out of the cup of worldly pleasures but drank with joy out of the wells of salvation and there fore he was always ready to take part in prayer and testimony. He enjoyed the experience of holiness and his life was hid with God in Christ.

At his visit last Christmas when they were gathered at his brothers he said this may be the last time we may meet this way. Let us have prayer together and his brother John and himself offered earnest prayers and now they are both together praising God and the Lamb for the precious salvation God so dearly bought for them and us all.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Ella Erickson the 25th of June, 1907 and to them was born the son Milton who has been the joy and sunbeam of the home. He with his family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1912 where they lived at his death.

He leaves to mourn his unexpected departure his beloved wife and son (NOTE: I believe these should say two brothers), Olof and Clarence, three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Schumloffel (sic), Mrs. Marie Cochran and Mrs. Ida Nelson and many other relatives and friends. His father and two brothers, John and Rev. Axel Hillman have gone before to the home above. Thank God for what Thou has been to us all, rest in peace thou faithful husband and good son, lovely brother and friend. We will meet again in the sweet bye and bye.

The funeral service was held at the Swedish M. E. Church at Wayne Monday afternoon April 25th, conducted by the pastor, Gust Freeman, assisted by Rev. F. E. Shivers from Hollis and the remains were laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery (sic).
