Lucille A. Koger, 80, of Bassett passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Born August 15, 1927 in Patrick County to the late George Adams and the late Anna Foley Adams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one step-granddaughter, Melissa Koger, Three Brothers: Lester Adams, Lloyd Adams, and Noah Adams, and One Sister, Lena Clark. She retired from Bassett Furniture Industries and was a member of Blackberry Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Nolen Koger of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Penny Byrd of Bassett. One grandson and spouse, Phillip and Sara Byrd of Bassett, and one great grandson, Cole Byrd. Two Step-Sons, Dr. Danny Koger of Chesepeake and Ronnie E. Koger of Bassett. Three Step-Grandchildren: Jacob Koger, Kristen Koger, and Spencer Koger. One Sister, Clara Adams of Bassett and two borthers: Barney Adams and Buren Adams of Patrick County, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at Blackberry Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Koger officiating. Burial followed in the Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
