Clarence Abrahamson, 91, died Monday, October 8, 2001 at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford.

Funeral services were Friday, October 12, 2001 at Brule Creek Lutheran Church, Spink, with Rev. Richard Wieket officiating. Burial was in the Brule Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Vernon Sand, Kurt Sommervold, Warren Wilkens, Royal Zweifel and Robert Abraham.

Mr. Abrahamson was born July 3, 1910, near Spink on the Family farm, to Peder and Julia Abraham. He attended the Pleasant Hill rural school and he worked on the family farm. Mr. Abrahamson was in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945, serving in World War II. He returned to the family farm and in 1950 he married Mary Embrock. The couple lived near Beresford; Mary passed away in 1978.

He was a member of the Brule Creek Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Marie Ronne of Carnation, WA and Violet Sand of Beresford; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
