The funeral for Mary Ann Snyder, 62, of Fremont will be 10 a.m. Monday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
She died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont. Mary Ann Frye was born Jan. 9, 1946, in Blair to Robert and Mattie (Whitnack) Frye. She grew up in the Blair area and attended school in Tekamah. She then
lived in Medford, Ore. for a few years and attended Medford High School. Most of her life was spent in Fremont. She worked at the Campbells Soup Company in Fremont for 10 years and then was employed as a meat cutter at the Cargill Meat Packing Plant in Schuyler for 33 years.
She married James J. Snyder on Aug. 17, 1964, in Blair; he died Nov. 5, 1979.
Survivors include: two sons, James Snyder, Jr. (and fiancee, Lynda Stanek) and Todd Snyder, all of Fremont; two brothers, Stanley (and wife, Tammy) Frye of Blair and Harold (and wife, Kathy) Frye; three sisters, Betty Grady and Rose (Mrs. George) Ackerman, all of Tekamah, and Alice White of Brookings, Ore.; two brothers-in-law, Tony (and wife, Margaret) Snyder of Blair and Nye (and wife,
Jan) Snyder, all of Fremont; three sisters-in-law, Marian (Mrs. Norman) Rohloff and Leona (Mrs. J.C.) Watson, all of Fremont, and Amelia (Mrs. Elmer) Melroy of Ames; and three grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
The Rev. Ron Croom of First United Methodist Church in Fremont will officiate Mondays service. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, with family receiving friends 2-4 p.m., at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation also will be
one hour prior to the service Monday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
