Former Minden resident Clark Ackerman, 49, of Buckeye, Ariz., died Thursday, September 25, 2008, near Kearney.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with Father Nicholas Baker officiating. Burial was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery west on Macon.
*** Clark was born on July 7, 1959, in Minden, Neb., to Raymond and Margaret (Detlefs) Ackerman. He grew up in the Upland area and graduated from Minden High School and then graduated from UNL.
While at UNL he was a member of the Acacia Fraternity.
Clark moved back to the Minden-Upland area and farmed after college.
On December 28, 1990, he was married to Diane Wenzl (daughter of Leo and Marilyn Wenzl) and they made their home in Minden. Clark and Diane owned and operated the Minden Health for many years and Clark farmed in the Upland area. They recentlymoved to Arizona.
Survivors include his wife, Diane of Buckeye, Ariz.; two sons, Alex and Jaden both at home; his mother, Margaret of Minden; sister, Janet Rose of Kearney; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond.
