Born February 15, 1923, in Maquon, the daughter of Sala Robert & Thelma Louise Donaldson Foster, she married Charles R. Burns on September 2, 1940, in Palmyra, MO. He died February 8, 2005, in Chillicothe. Also preceding her in death was one brother.
Surviving are 3 sons, Dorance Carlson of Arizona, and Frank & Billie Burns, both of East Peoria; 2 daughters, Ruth Pickel of East Peoria, and Shirley Crotts of Princeville; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert D. Foster of Quincy; and 1 sister, Edna Sprinkle of Harris, MN.
She was an assembler for L.R. Nelson Company in Princeville. She later tended bar for Carters Tap in Dunlap. During WWII she worked as a riveter in shipyards in Spokane, WA. Agnes attended the Methodist Churches in Dunlap & Edwards.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2005, at Princeville Cemetery. Rev. Fred Reiner will officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2005, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville.
