William Gene Abbott, 79 of Sandy Flat, Williamsburg, KY, passed away June 5 at his home. He was born March 22, 1930 in Jellico.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Abbott; daughters, Linda Adkins and Sherry Abbott; brothers, Carl Abbott and Clyde Abbott; sister, Margaret Brown; nieces and nephews, Virginia, Andy, Rachel, Randy, Joni, Michelle, Laura, Gina, Carolyn, Sandra, Lois, Janis and Tommy Joe; a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held June 8 at the Harp Funeral Home with the Rev. Durand Dixon officiating. Interment was in the Newcomb Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
