In 1904, he was married to Nannie Elizabeth Jones. To this union were born seven children, two having passed away in infancy and Margaret who passed away two years ago.
They continued to make their home in Harrisonville, Mo., until 1917, when they moved to a farm in Sheridan county, Kans., where they resided until eight years ago, when they moved to Hoxie, where he engaged in the bakery business.
Charlie was a fafithful husband, loving father and a good friend and neighbor to everyone. He was always a willing helper to those more unfortunate than himself.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, four children, Helen Coffman of Lovewell, Kans., Charles, James and Harley of Hoxie: Lester and Vester Mutert, Helen Arlene and Shirley Darlene Coffman: four half brothers,

God knows the way, He holds the key, He guides us with unerring hand: Some times with tearless eyes we'll see Yes, there, up there, we'll understand.
