SAVANNAH MORNING NEWS
SAVANNAH, CHATHAM COUNTY, GA
THURSDAY, 22 AUGUST 1929

Mrs. Emaline Burgsteiner, 81 years old, died last night at her residence, 412 Charlton street, east, after an illness extending over a person of several months. Besides her husband, F. W. Burgsteiner, Mrs. Burgsteiner is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ida Helmly, Mrs. Edward Dugger, and Mrs. F. J. Heybach; a niece, Miss Lonnie Rahn, and several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.

Her death certificate is wrong. Her mother was Salome Freyermuth - born 1832-1868. Ann Elizabeth Shearouse was born 1842-1910, which was James Robert Rahn's second wife. He didn't marry Ann Elizabeth until 12/01/1869. All her half siblings that were born to Ann Elizabeth were born starting in 1869 through 1878. Ann Elizabeth would have been six years old if she was Emiline's mother. She was Emiline's stepmother.
