Gordon Abbott, son of Mrs. Mabel Abbott of Liberty Mills, died Wednesday morning at the veteran's hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. His home was at Charlotte, Michigan, but he had been at the hospital for the past three months. The body was brought to the Bender Funeral Home in North Manchester today and the funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the funeral home. The Rev. J. Raymond Schutz will conduct the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove cemetery east of North Manchester.
Mr. Abbott was a son of the late L. M. and Mabel Abbott and was born in this vicinity 46 years ago. He was a veteran of the World War. He married Miss Gladys McDonald, and the only daughter born to them died several years ago. Surviving are the widow, the mother, and two sisters, Mrs. Franz Knull of North Manchester and Mrs. Charles B. Cook of Wichita, Kansas.
