Her first husband was Matthias Witt (4 Feb 1849 in Ohio -- d. 8 Oct 1900 in Tennessee).

To this union was born two sons: Vernon Witt 1897-1983; Howard "Jack" Mattias Witt 1899-1992.

Her second husband was Thomas A. Abbott.

Together they had two children: Lawrence "Jerry" Abbott 1904-1944; Catherine 1909-1989.

Della's third and last husband was John Hussey.

Survivors include sons, Howard, Vernon, and Lawrence; step-sons, Tom and Jim; daughter, Catherine Rose, step-daughters, Virginia and Mrs. Carl Crain; five brothers and three sisters.
