Sherry Aanes, 61, of Brainerd, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village.
Sherry Lynn Marquart was born Oct. 17, 1946, in Mora, to Paul and Goldie (Cross) Marquart.
On June 29, 1968, she married Gary Aanes in Mora. She worked as a secretary for ISD 544 in Fergus Falls for 22 years. She and Gary moved to Baxter in 2005. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father; her mother-in-law, Ruth Clark; and her grandparents.
Sherry is survived by Gary, her husband of 40 years; her sons, Paul (Patti) Aanes and Ryan (Heather) Aanes, all of Brainerd, and Michael Aanes, of Dalton; her mother, Goldie Marquart; sisters, Marilee (Marc) Jensen, of Mora, and Melissa (Tim) Simon, of Woodbury; her grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Lily, Ava, and Ethan; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David (Karen) Aanes, of Fergus Falls; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Park United Methodist Church
Clergy: Rev. Rory Swenson officiating
Burial: Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery, Little Falls
