Mrs. Mabel Abbott
WICHITA – Mrs. Mabel Abbott, 90, Wichita, died Monday evening at the Riverside Hospital, Wichita.
Mrs. Abbott was born July 5, 1894, in Gypsum and spent most of her adult life in the Gypsum area. She moved to Wichita about 25 years ago, and was a teacher at the Institute of Logopedics until her retirement.
She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Wichita.
Her husband, Judson, died in 1933, and her son, J. A., died in 1970.
She is survived by a sister, Helen Manley, Annapolis, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be conducted today in Wichita, followed by a private graveside service in the Gypsum Cemetery, Gypsum, the Dr. Jerold Vogt officiating.
Memorials may be made to the church.
