Mrs. George Jones of Boone, Colorado, died at her home there Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. The body arrived in Liberal on the 1:17 train Wednesday afternoon accompanied by Mr. Jones and his two daughters, and Mrs. Ed Coles of Iantha and Lee Chambers of Liberal, sister and brother-in-law of the deceased. Mrs. Coles and Mr. Chambers went to Colorado Sunday morning.
Mrs. Jones was 47 years old. Death caused by cancer of the lungs. She had been in poor health for a number of years past. She is survived by her husband, two daughters and a number of relatives and friends here.
The funeral was held at Boone, Colorado and short services were held at Barton City Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Hizer of Iantha. Interment was in the Barton City Cemetery.
Mr. & Mrs. Jones formerly lived here but moved to Colorado on account of Mrs. Jones' health. She was the daughter of the late John Fast of the Barton City district and a sister of Mrs. Lee Chambers of Liberal.
