Services for Mr. Albert Drue Adams, age 90 of Sugar Land, TX, will be 11 AM Saturday, February 21, 2009 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA with Rev. Eric Harriman officiating. Interment will follow at Columbia Hill Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9 AM until time of service.

Mr. Adams was born on January 16, 1919 in Columbia to the union of Henry G. and Ollie Fisher Adams and passed from this life on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston, TX. Drue worked many years for the United States Department of Agriculture, Farmer's Home Administration. During World War II, he served in the Army in the European theatre and later in the Pacific area on Okinawa. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbia, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his one and only brother, Henry Victor Adams.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Jackie P. Adams; daughter, Judith A. Schnellhardt and husband, Stephen E.; three grandchildren, Jeffery John Schnellhardt and wife, Christy, Peter William Schnellhardt and Suzanne S. Johnson and husband, Timothy; one great-grandson, Grayson Drue Schnellhardt; and two great-granddaughters, Nora Grace Schnellhardt and Emma Madison Schnellhardt.
