Parker Lee Lowe, employed by the U.S. Engineers for 33 years, died at 8 o'clock last night at his home, 1651 Faxon, following a stroke three hours before. The body will be sent from the National Funeral Home tonight to Independence, Mo., where services and burial will be held Sunday. Mr. Lowe, who was 67 years of age, had been suffering from a heart ailment for several months. He was stricken yesterday as he was riding home from work with his son, Schuyler Lowe. He was a native of Independence and came to Memphis from Little Rock in 1924. In 1890, a short while after graduating from the Rolla School of Mines, Rolla, Mo., Mr. Lowe entered the government service. He resigned a short while later to join the Little Rock engineering firm, but recently went back to the government. He was formerly in charge of the survey division here, but recently had been transferred to office work. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lorena Jones Lowe; four children, Schuyler Lowe, Memphis, Luther Lee Lowe, New Orleans, Mrs. H.E. Leming, LaGrange, Ill., and Mrs. M.C. Blackman, Little Rock, four sister, Mrs. H.C. Abbott, Los Anamias, Col.; Mrs. W.A. Colt, Lyons, Col.; Mrs. Sam Pendleton and Miss Susan Lowe, Independence.
