Sarah was born in Kentucky the daughter of John Harvey and Catherine "Kate" Risner and the granddaughter of Michael Risner and Sarah Howard. She married first to Benjamin Franklin Gullett the son Of James Franklin Gullett and Martha May. Their children are; Minnie (Gullett) Perry, Cynthia (Gullett) Prater and Roscoe Gullett. Benjamin was killed in 1885. On September 9, 1886 Sarah married George Washington Jackson the son of Gabriel Jackson and Evelyn McFarland. Their children are; Boone Jackson, John Boyd Jackson, Leona (Jackson) Lovely, Lacy Jackson, Troy Jackson and Belden Jackson. Sarah also had a son William "Bood" Gullett.
