MAUD ABBOTT JONES
Maud Abbott, daughter of Elmer and Paulina Abbott, was born January 9, 1896 and died at Ozawkie, Kan., May 19, 1930,
at the age of 34 years, 4 months and 10 days.
Practically all her life was spent in Jefferson County and most of the time in or near Ozawkie.
She graduated from the Ozawkie High School in 1917 and taught in the Ozawkie grade school.
In 1920 she was married to C.L. Jones, to which union were born three children, Ella Pauline age 8 years, Olive Charlene
age six years, and Theona Dean age 5 years, all living.
Mrs. Jones was converted and united with the Methodist church at Oskaloosa, and later placed her membership in the
Ozawkie United Brethren church under the ministry of Rev. Rouch.
Besides her three children, she leaves, to sorrow over her going, her father and mother, two brothers Dean and Glenn,
ll of Ozawkie, besides the many friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were conducted at the U.B. church at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon Revs. Jones and Brammell.
Interment was in Ozawkie Cemetery.
