Funeral services for Mrs. Leonard Abbe were held Tuesday at the Immanuel Lutheran church.

Stella Marie Louise, daughter of Edwin Meyer and Emma nee Maas was born on September I, 1912, near Ricketts, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Soldier Township by the Rev Von Gemmingen She grew up in the Rickettes vicinity.
On September 20th, 1936, she was united in marriage to Leonard Abbe They have one daughter, LaJoyce. The couple lived on farms in Grant and Hayes Townships, and for the past 14 years on the
farm northwest of Schleswig.
Mrs. Stella Abbe was a member of the Home Makers Club and the V F W Auxiliary- She was operated upon a year and a half ago and since that time her condition grew worse.
She died at the Carroll hospital Saturday 11th of February at 3 p m
She is survived by her husband Leonard, her daughter, LaJoyce, both of Schleswig; her mother, Mrs. Emma Meyer of Mapleton, five brothers: Edward and William of Mapleton, Elmer of Anthon, Herbert of Ricketts, Lewis of Otto.
For a number of years she held membership in the Immanuel Lutheran church. She was very patient and uncomplaining during the long months of her illness.
She attained the age of 43 years 5 months 10 days.
Burial was made in the Morgan cemetery.
The following served as pallbearers: Merlin Stockfleth, Delphin Bruhn, Roger Paulsen, Adolph Maas, Max Maas Jr, and Merman Nedemier.
