Mr. Abbott had been a resident of Abilene since 1931 and owned and operated Abbott Plumbing. He was a member of Abilene's St. John's Episcopal Church, Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge and the Kiwanis Club.
His wife, Susie, died in 1982. He is survived by two brothers, Fred and Frank Abbott; and several nieces and nephews.
