Kenneth passed away at the age of 51 in Watertown, SD. He was the oldest son of Claus & Grace (West) Engels. He lived in Codington County, but moved to a farm North of Castlewood at a very younge age. He attended rural school near Castlewood and farmed with his parents North of Castlewood until 1968 when he moved to his own farm Northeast of Watertown In December 1971 he came to Watertown where he was the owner and operator of the Engels Mobile Park.
He married Bertha Reitzel of Castlewood and they had two children, Alan and Connie.
He married Gennade Hanson Sept.13,1968 in Watertown. To this union were born 4 daughters, Judy,June,Deloy,and Normay. 3 sons, Conrad,Scott,and Benjamin.
Survivors are his widow, all of his children,his mother,two sisters and one brother.
His funeral services were in the Apostolic Lutheran church with burial at Mt. Hope, Watertown.
