Dorothy Mae Blankenship Agee, 81, of Bland died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at her home. Funeral service was held Friday, April 3, at 1 p.m. at the Salem United Methodist Church in Bland with Pastor Henry Allen Conley officiating. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery in Bland. She was born June 27, 1927, at Slate Creek, daughter of the late Grover Cleveland & Virgie May Orey Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Earl Agee Sr.; a son, James Cleveland Agee; two brothers, David Harold Blankenship and Cecil Blankenship; and two sisters, Eva Bouldin and Magatha Blankenship. Survivors two sons & daughter-in-law, Paul Earl Agee Jr. of Bastian, Jack Lee & Brenda Agee of Bland; four daughters & sons-in-law, Barbara Ann Tyeryar of Max Meadows, Brenda Gayle & Terry Parker of Houma, LA, Kathy Lynn Agee of Bland, Marsha Gaye & Larry Jessee of Bland; two sisters, Lee Dalton of Narrows and Fay Hull of Rocky Gap; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate was in charge of the arrangements.
