Charles C. Abel, 69, former Otterbein resident, died at 1:15 a. m. Thursday in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, after a short illness.

Born at Hoopeston, Illinois, he spent a number of years at Otterbein and moved to Indianapolis 20 years ago.

He was married in 1905 in Minnesota to Olive Cross, who died in 1940.

He was a member of F and AM lodge No. 561 at Otterbein.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Maurice Goodnight; two sisters, Mrs. C. W. Davis and Mrs. Rudy Seaman; and three brothers, Ernest Abel, Emil and Fred Abel.
