Beverly Ann Abbott, age 73, of Wauseon, Ohio, died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, after a short illness. She was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Grand Ledge, Mich., to Royal and Goldie (Youtzy) Stahl. On April 25, 1952, she married Leland Dewayne Abbott and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1997.
Beverly retired from Peter's Stamping Company in Fayette, Ohio. Beverly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing and spending time at her Northern Michigan cabin.
She is survived by three sons, Leland Wade (Penny) Abbott of Delta, David (Sue) Abbott of West Unity, and Brian (Chris) Abbott of Wauseon; three daughters, Pamela (David) Esterline of Weston, Gail (Joe) Ramos of Wauseon, and Wendy (Michael) Garcia of Adrian; one sister, Sharon (Richard) Bice; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Josephine Aldrich and Shirley Thornsbury; grandchildren, Kristopher Whipple and Laurie Abbott; and her beloved dog, Jenny.
Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Bruce Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
