NORFOLK - Services for Max J. Thramer, 80, of Norfolk will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Howser-Fillmer Mortuary with burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.
He died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home.

Max was born on Sept. 14, 1928, in Ewing to Albin and Agnes (Rotherham) Thramer. He attended school in Clearwater and Ewing.
He married Laura Wright and later divorced. He then married Rachel Genereux Kruse in 1967.
He was self-employed as a spray painter for many years in the eastern Nebraska area.
Max is survived by his wife, Rachel; two sisters, Lucy and Mary; one brother, Al; five children, Jerry, Karen, Danny, Betty Jo and Janice; five stepchildren, Carol, Larry, Bob, Sharon and Dick; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, Albin and Agnes Thramer, two brothers, Jim and Greg, and a son, Allan.
