MONROEVILLE - Julia L. Abney, a former clerk at an area cleaners, died Tuesday at Providence Hospital. She was 75. Abney, a native of Conecuh County, was a resident of Monroeville. She is survived by two daughters, Jaqueline Odom of Nashville, Tenn., and Marion McCreary of Cerritos, Calif.; four brothers, George Royster and John H. Royster both of Pittsburgh, Alvin Royster of Monroeville and Jiles Royster of Akron, Ohio; one sister, Lillie R. Valentine of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, with services at 11 a.m., at Morning Star Baptist Church in Monroeville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home.
