PRESTON - Portia Neeley Nelson Hull, 98, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007, at home in Preston. She was born Feb. 7, 1909, in Riverdale, Idaho, the daughter of Leslie Armenius and Mary Evans Neeley.
She married Wallace H. Nelson on Aug. 30, 1929, in Brigham City, Utah. They were later divorced. She married Robert Eugene Hull on Aug. 16, 1949, in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced.
She was a school teacher and she enjoyed singing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in the Relief Society presidency, as a Relief Society teacher, an MIA worker, and as a road show director. She was a member and past president of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by a daughter, Meredith Nelson Windsor of Lake Oswego, Oregon; a son, David (Patsy) Hull of Clovis, California; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Preston Eighth Ward Chapel, 213 S. Second E., Preston, with Bishop Randy Wakley conducting. Friends may call Sunday, Aug. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Riverdale, Idaho Cemetery.
