Joseph H. Aaron, 66, died Tuesday evening, July 17, 2001, at his home in Crescent City after an extended illness.
Born in Fairmount, Pa., he served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps. He came to Crescent City in 1958 from Pennsylvania. He worked for Georgia-Pacific as a forklift driver and retired in 1996 after working there for 36 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and also enjoyed membership with the Knights of Columbus and Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1641. He was a former member of the Crescent City Jaycees. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Clyde and Grace Aaron; wife, Connie, and a brother, George.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Bobby McNaughton of Seville; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph M. and Dana Aaron of Georgetown, Donald P. and Brenda Aaron of Crescent City; son, Michael G. Aaron of Crescent City; brother, Thomas Aaron of Clarion, Pa.; sisters, Arleen Traister of Templeton, Pa., Frances Carnahan of Shippenville, Pa., and Delores Shope of Carthage, N.C.; mother-in-law, Marge Rupert of St. Augustine; brother-in-law, Danny Rupert of Bunnell; sister-in-law, Mollie Shuford of St. Augustine; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2002, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father John Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow in St. Johns Catholic Cemetery.
