ABBOTT, Billy L., 64, of Perryville Road, died Saturday at his home. Born April 27, 1940, in Boyle County, he was a son of Emanuel Abbott of Danville and the late Geneva Lane Abbott. He was a retired produce manager at Kroger, a member of Faith Baptist Church and a 1958 graduate of Danville High School. He also was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge 28 and Apache Bowhunters Club.
Other survivors include his wife, Tina Dalton Abbott; a son, Todd Abbott of Danville; a daughter, Karen Lynne Abbott Gill of Danville; two stepsons, Jerry Pack of Pilot Mountain, N.C., and Billy Hooker of Westfield, N.C.; a brother, Jerry Manuel Abbott of Danville; a sister, Elizabeth A. Hardin of Danville; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a wife, Patsy Bruner Abbott; and a son, Michael L. Abbott.
