Alonzo L. McPherson, 87, former resident of Elizabethtown community, died at 5:45 o'clock this morning at the Redman nursing home where he had been a patient since September.
Born April 2, 1866, Mr. McPherson was a native of Jackson county, and a member of the Methodist church. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Sandcreek township for many years. His wife died in 1939.
Survivors are a son, Henry McPherson of Fond du Lac, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Kelly of Columbus; and two grandchildren, Douglas and Judith Joyce McPherson of Fond du Lac.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Hathaway funeral home, and burial will be made at Springer cemetery.
The casket will be open at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
