Clinton H Hanson Age 82, of Monroe,WA passed away
peacefully on June 1,2006. He was born in SD to
Carl and Dora West Hanson.The family farmed in Hamlin Co. SD before moving to Sandpoint, Idaho,
where they lived for a few years and then moved to WA. Clinton had one older brother; Garold, and
two older sisters; Myrtle and Evelyn.
During World War 11, Clint served in the US Army
with the 11th Airborne. He reached the rank of Sergeant and during his service received two Presidential Citations, one from the US and one from the Philippines. He was a local retail grocer and owner of the Night and Day Superette in Bothell,WA. In 1966 he married Sharon Osborne
and together they raised three children. Clinton
was a licensed pilot. He had a special relationship with nature, especially animals.
However his greatest love in life was his family
and being a husband, father and grandfather. His
family remembers him as a real "people person",
who loved the camaraderie of customers and friends. Survivors include Sharon,his wife, and his sons, Dennis, Dondi and daughter, angela. Also his grandchildren, a sister, Evelyn and many
nieces and nephews. Clinton is buried in the Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood, WA.
