Augustus Ganaway Adair was a farmer in the Fairplay Community, Morgan County, Georgia. He attended Fairplay School and was a member of the Rock Springs Primitive Baptist Church. He was one of the first directors of Walton Electric Membership Corporation, a Mason, Shriner, and a deacon of his church. He served Morgan County as a member of the House of Representatives from 1923-24 in an extra session in 1924. He and his wife always had their home open to scores of friends and family. They took great pride in their home and farm. They are both buried in the cemetery at Prosepct United Methodist Church in the Fairplay Community.
