Frances "Pat" Abel, 77, of Boise died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at a Boise care center.

Memorial services are Wednesday at Summers Funeral Homes, Boise chapel.

Mrs. Abel was born July 6, 1923, in Billings. She and her husband, Claude, were raised one block from each other in Lodge Grass, Mont. They would have been married 60 years Dec. 20.

The couple lived in such places as Grand Coulee Dam, Anderson Ranch Power House and Spillway, Idaho, Yellowtail Dam, Montana, Pasco, Wasington, Long Beach, Calif., Billings, Gallop and Farmington, N.M., Portland, Ore., and Boise, where they retired in 1986.

Mrs. Abel also enjoyed trips to trucking conventions they were invited to participate in, such as to Florida, New Orleans, San Francisco and and Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Hawii.

She loved to play golf and was active in one of the ladies's golf groups at Warm Springs Golf Course,

Survivors include three sons, Jim of Billings, Rick of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Ron of Boise; four grandsons; one graddaughter; and several cousins and nieces.
