Martha Lee was born on December 8, 1929, in Eastman. A member of the Telephone Pioneers Club and Lioness Club, she loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a life long member of First Baptist Church in Warner Robins. She retired in 1981 after thirty years of service with BellSouth. Her husband, Julius Coody, and parents, Adrian Leroy Thomas and Blanche Stuckey Thomas, preceded her in death.
Everyone was drawn to Martha Lee's vivacious spirit and she will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to be touched by her life. Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Michael Coody (Beth), Cumming, Elaine Reins (Bill), Cumming, and Mitch Coody (Lisa), Kathleen; brother, Jim Thomas, Eastman; grandchildren, Brad Coody, Jennifer Neely, Tabor Reins, Emilee and Tucker Coody; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Cooper Coody, and Presley Neely.
