Former resident dies in California

Wayne Boltz, 62, formerly of Kenmare and Donnybrook, passed away at his home in Carson, CA, on June 13, 1988, after an extended illness.

Memorial services were held at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Hawthorne, CA, on June 16, with interment at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.

Wayne was born, August 6, 1925 in Kenmare, the son of Edwin and Gladys Boltz. He attended school in Kenmare and high school in Donnybrook.

He served in the Army during WWI, stationed in California, Arizona and England.

Following his tour of duty he moved to American Falls, ID, where he was a wheat farmer.

He married Dora Mitchell in Aberdeen, ID, on December 4, 1947. They moved to Anaheim, CA, in 1953. He was employed with Avionic Structures as a metal sheet spray painter, spraying nose cones for rockets. The past 15 years he had been the purchasing agent for that company.

Wayne was active in the American Legion and the Calvary Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by: his wife; daughter, Patricia Cunningham, Carson, CA; two sons, John and Rick, both from LaMirada, CA; and five grandchildren.
