Margaret was born on July 14, 1918 in rural Grand Forks County to parents Russell and Marion (McMillan) Cooper.

She graduated from Dahlen Public School and Minot State Teachers College. She taught school at Humbolt, MN and Fordville, ND. She was then employed at UND for ten years as administrative assistant to the Director of the Memorial Union and then at NDSU for ten years as secretary to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Legal Counsel for the college. She married Robert Anton on May 16, 1942.

Margaret belonged to the Eastern Star in Fordville, American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary both in West Fargo.

Margaret is survived by her nieces Nancy Adamson Ellertson and Nadine Adamson, nephews Terry (Diane) Aafedt and Tom (Jan) Aafedt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Dorothy Adamson and Belle Aafedt, nephews Mark Adamson, Charles Aafedt and Roger Aafedt. May she rest in peace.

The family would like to thank all of the wonderful employees at Eventide Fargo for the excellent care she received for the last seven months.
