After having been in failing health for months, Mrs. N. O. Kirsch died at her home in this city at four o'clock Wednesday morning, February 9. Mrs. Kirsch's condition became suddenly serious about a week ago, and the sands of life ebbed gradually away. Bronchitis was the cause of death.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning, with services at 10 o'clock at St. Felix church, the Rev. J. N. Bartholome officiating. The remains will be laid at rest in St. Felix cemetery.

Mrs. Kirsch was born in Aden, Belgium, August 15, 1853. Her maiden name was Mary Wodele. She came to America as a young girl, and in 1873, in March, was married to Nicholas O. Kirsch at Wabasha, Minnesota, the ceremony taking place at St. Felix church. Mr. and Mrs. Kirsch have been residents of Wabasha ever since. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Kirsch, one of whom, Marie died in infancy June 15, 1878.

Those surviving with their father are Henry Kirsch, Watertown, S. D., John P. Kirsch, Duluth, Minn., Nick, George, and Ed Kirsch and Mrs. Ben Koopman, Wabasha, Minn. Mrs. E. H. Aberle and Mrs. M. W. Minnie, Minneapolis, Minn. All were present at the time of their mother's death. Mrs. Kirsch also leaves one brother, John Henry Wodele of Wabasha, Minn.

In the death of Mrs. Kirsch another of Wabasha's old-time residents is removed from the scenes of earthly endeavor. For nearly fifty years she was part of the community. She was a good woman, a devoted wife and mother to the large family she reared. She will be lovingly remembered by those to whom she was near and dear.
