Mr. Henley died on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 29, 1931, in Cookeville to the late Robert Austin and Minnie Pendergrass Henley. He was a longtime employee of Summerlin Brothers and Daytona Beach Mill Works. Mr. Henley was a
member of Scott Avenue Baptist Church. He was also an avid hunter and race car fan.
His family includes his wife, Gusta Choate Henley of Baxter; two sons and daughtersinlaw, Rick and Cindy Henley of Buffalo Valley, and Ron and Lorna Henley of Lyman, Maine; three sisters, Lily Abner of
Cookeville, Reba Benson of National Gardens, Fla., and Helen Johnson of South Carolina; three granddaughters, Sabrina Henley, Carey Gammero and Nevada Henley; two step grandchildregrandchildren, Jared,
Michael and Jessie; a greatgrandchild, Joshua Gammero; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Odell and Pat Henley; and two sisters, Etta Choate and Ruby Lowe.
