Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, October 23, 1978 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Holyoke for Carl F. Absmeier, 24, who passed away Friday, October 20.

Celebrant was Rev. Edward J. Leonard. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Thompson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Carl Frederick Absmeier was born at Holyoke at Holyoke, Colorado on April 17, 1954 to Carl J. and Patricia C. Absmeier.

He completed his education in the Holyoke Schools and graduated in 1972. He attended Colorado Mountain College for two years.

He worked at various jobs in the mountains before working for the Burlington Northern where he was employed at the time of his death.

He loved the mountains and was at home in them.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, Patricia A. Main of Pueblo; and three brothers, Steve of Alamosa, Jeff and Dave of Holyoke; his grandmother, Mrs. Louise Carpenter, and five nephews
