ABBOTT, JAMES W., Sr. – 56, of South Amherst, Ohio, died, May 31, 1995, at his home following a three-year battle with cancer. Born in Oneida, Tenn., February 14, 1939, he moved to South Amherst in 1956. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and his father. He worked in the South Amherst Cleveland Quarries until 1958, when he began work at Ford's Loen. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home with the Rev. VERNON LAWYER conducting the services. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home.
