Mrs. Mildred Adams Mangum of 1102 James D. Hagood Hwy, South Boston, VA died on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born in Charlotte Co., VA on November 18, 1925 to the late Cheslie Adams and the late Pearl Newcomb Adams and was married to the late Wesley Mangum. Mrs. Mangum was a retired supervisor for Burlington Industries with over 40 years of service.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Tennant and husband, Larry of Ohio; one grandson, Chris Buchanan of Ohio; one granddaughter, Leigh Anne Tennant of Ohio; two sisters, Hazel Fitz and Shirley Scott both of Drakes Branch, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, Charlotte Thompson, three brothers, Harold Adams, Cheslie Adams, and John Adams.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Salem Christian Church with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Burial will be in Salem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
