Myrtle Berry, 79, a retired factory worker, of Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee died at Magee General Hospital on January 3, 2002. She was a member of Harrisville Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Berry were conducted January 5 in the chapel of Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Interment was in Harrisville Cemetery.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Ty Yates and Pam Yates; two great-grandchildren, Coddy Yates and Sylvia Yates; two brothers, William Floyd Sowell Jr. of Biloxi and James Layfette Sowell of Calif.; and three sisters, Verneta Smith of Magee, Virginia Wilkes of Nicevile, Fla. and Bobbie Nell Hollaway of Calif.
