Mrs. Martha W. Aber, wife of the late George Aber, died in a Denver hospital early Saturday morning, following a major operation from which she failed to rally. Mrs. Aber had been in Denver since last Saturday. The remains are being brought to Sheridan for burial but funeral arrangements are not yet completed.
Mrs. Aber was one of the pioneer residents of Sheridan county, having come here with her husband and small son in a covered wagon in 1886. The family settled on Wolf creek, owning the beautiful ranch which was the Aber home until a few years ago and is still known by that name. Mrs. Aber was a native of Pennsylvania, as was her husband, both having been born near Pittsburgh.
She is survived by a son, S. Perry Aber, of Jolin Wyoming, and a daughter, Mrs. Owen S. Hoge, of Dayton, and by six grandchildren.
Funeral services probably will be held Tuesday afternoon. The Reed mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
