Ramon was the son of Andres and Senovia (Romero) Woodson. He married Raquilda Garcia.

According to his obituary, which follows, he died in Saguache at the age of 64. However, according to World War I draft registration records, his birthday was November 17, 1874. This would make him 62 at his death. The 1885 Colorado Census of Saguache County and the 1900 Census of Saguache County both agree with the 1874 birth year, though the 1900 Census gives August as the month of birth instead of November.

His obituary was published in the Saguache "Crescent," Thursday, Nov. 19, 1936, p. 1.
