Ethel Lou Abrams, a native of Camden, AL, a past resident of Cleveland, OH and Mobile, AL and a most recent resident of Clarksville, TN. She was born on February 16, 1948 to the union of her late parents, Sip and Nettie Jane Abrams and departed this life Sunday, December 28, 2008. She is the youngest among her siblings and was preceded in death by four sisters, Suzanne Taylor, Artist McWilliams, Mattie Mae Abrams, and Elizabeth Abrams; four brothers, Johnny "J.C." Carson, Leroy Abrams, Johnson Abrams, and Horace (Georgia) Abrams. She leaves to cherish her memories, four children, Charles E. Abrams, Derrick J. Abrams, Darnell J. Abrams, and Jonathan D. Abrams; five grandchildren, Charles E. Abrams, Jr., Cherilyn V. Abrams, Jaborri M. Turner, Chance Abrams, and Cashus M. Turner; three brothers, Joe Abrams, Willie Abrams, and Nathaniel Abrams, Sr.; one sister-in-law, Georgia Abrams; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Reese Funeral Home 925 S. Bessemer Ave. Prichard, AL on Friday, January 9, 2009 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and will continue from The New Bayside Baptist Church, 950 Weinacker Ave Mobile, AL on Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral hour. Rev. Cleveland, officiating minister. Internment will follow in the Rosemary Cemetery, Camden, AL Arrangements are under the careful direction of Reese Funeral Home.
