Funeral services were held at the family residence in Monroe at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. W. C. Scott, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Monroe, Rev. R. W. Vaughan, superintendent of the Methodist
Orphanage at Ruston, and Rev. H. C. Carley, presiding elder of the Monroe district, in charge. Interment was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Barr is survived by his wife and one daughter, Miss Kitty Barr. His father, Rev. D. C. Barr, also survives. Surviving sisters are Mrs. S. M. Abel, Rochelle; Mrs. W. O. Files, Oak Ridge; Mrs. John M. Brothers, Monroe; Mrs. Minnie Calder, San Antonio; and Mrs. Berta Bondy, San Antonio.
