Thomas Lee "Glenn" Adams, age 89, of Concordia, Kansas died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Sunset Nursing Center, Concordia, KS.

He was born April 24, 1907, near Perryton, Texas to John T. and Pearl Jeannette (Harris) Adams.



Glenn had been a resident of Concordia, KS since 1990, moving from Kirwin, KS. He worked for the city of Kirwin and in highway construction. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge, both of Kirwin, KS


He was preceded in death by his father, John T. Adams; mother, Pearl J. Hughes; his wives, Pauline Christie; and Bertha "Irene" (Webb) Stegmaier in 1988.


Survivors include two daughters, Marie Crist, Indianapolis; Anita Gypher, Nevis, Minnesota; four sons, Thomas Adams, Lunenburg, Massachusetts; Arnold Stegmaier, Agra, KS; Carl Adams, McCook, NE; Robert Stegmaler, Delphos, KS; four brothers, Charles Hughes, Simpson, KS; Vernon Hughes, Concordia, KS; Eddie Hughes, Downs, KS; David Hughes, Clyde, KS; four sisters, Edith Bisnette, Concordia, KS; Vera Tieking, Concordia, KS; Nadine Griffiths, Belleville, KS; and LouVena Larson, Brookings, SD; 26 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
