Cloyd Palmer Pricee, Jr., (Bud), 83, of Blacksburg, died Friday, October 3, 2003, at his home. He was born on November 25, 1919, to the late Cloyd Palmer, Sr. and Maude Morehead Price.


He was also preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Price.


Mr. Price was retired from Va. Tech Food Science & Technology & Horticulture and was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.


He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Moore Price of Blacksburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and David Trump of Pembroke; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Palmer L. and Phyllis Price of Blacksburg, Rocky M. Price of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Tracey Bernardo, Travis Price, and Adam Pearman; a brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Betty Price of Blacksburg; three sisters, Ms. Virginia Absher of Blacksburg, Ms. Margaret Smith of Radford, Ms. Esther Grubb of Blacksburg; a special sister-in-law, Ms. Nora Price of Blacksburg; a special niece, Ms. Marlane Burton of Riner; and close and special family members, Hassell Price, Jr., Jimmy and Bonnie Albert, Shake and Kim Smith, all of Blacksburg.


Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 5, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Gateway Baptist Church with Rev. Dewey O. Weaver, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg.


The family would like to express a sincere thanks to Carilion New River Valley Hospice and Nurse Claudia. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon on Saturday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
