Mr. Robert Leonard Clem, 62, of Route 3, Elkmont, AL, died December 2, 1987 in Athens, AL.

Funeral services were held December 4 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tanner, AL, with Ministers Bishop Michael Broadhurst and Bishop William G. Brown officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore with Spry Funeral Home of Athens in charge.

Mr. Clem was self employed as a logger . He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Clem of Elkmont, AL; one son, Robert Clem, Jr. of McMinnville, TN; two daughters, Gloria Mullins of Ardmore, Debroah Eckstein of Athens, AL; his mother, Clara Clem of Athens, AL; three brothers, Kenneth Clem of Rogersville, AL, Virgel Wayne Clem of Cleveland, MS, and Billy Joe Clem of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Audrey Abernathy of Athens, AL, and Louise Overstreet of Memphis, TN; and three grandehildren.

Pallbearers were Sam Mitchell, Carter Broadway, Philip Broadway, Steve Moore, Dale Higham, and Dave Campbell.
