Rosella Vietta Rector, age 93, resident of 510 Meadow Lane, Fort Scott, Kan., died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.

She was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Cato, Kansas the daughter of William Engle and Bessie Galley (correct is Gallea) Engle. Rosella married Eugene William Rector on September 28, 1932, in Monett, Mo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1996.

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Tabernacle.

Survivors include one son Randall Rector and wife Florence, Fort Scott; and a sister, Ina Diehl, Scottsdale, Ariz.

Also surving are two grandchildren, six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters.

Pastor Paul Rooks will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday,in the Grace Baptist Tabernacle.

Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to either the Fort Scott Christian Heights School or the Grace Baptist Tabernacle and may sent to Cheney Witt Champel, P.O. Box 347, Fort Scott, Kansas 66701.
